What we collect
Account: your email address (for sign-in) and a display name.
Profile: your chosen skill level and optional bio/avatar.
Learning activity: your challenge submissions and written notes. Screenshots you upload for AI review are processed for that review but not stored by us (see “AI mentor & your uploads” below).
Feedback: messages you send us through the in-app feedback form.
On-device progress: your XP, streak, completed challenges and portfolio are stored in your browser's local storage.
Why we use it
To run the app: authenticate you, save your progress, generate AI mentor feedback on your submissions, operate the community, and improve the product from your feedback. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who processes your data
We use trusted processors to run the service:
Supabase — database & authentication (hosted in the EU, Ireland).
Vercel — hosting the web app.
Resend — sending sign-in emails.
Anthropic — AI mentor review. When you request feedback, your submission (screenshots + notes) is sent to Anthropic's API in the United States. You are asked to consent before this happens, and it is not used to train models.
Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics (Google, United States). It only loads after you accept our cookie banner: until then nothing is downloaded, stored or sent to Google, and you can decline or withdraw at any time.
Where your data is stored
Your account and database data are stored in the EU (Ireland). AI review requests are processed by Anthropic in the US under appropriate safeguards.
AI mentor & your uploads
When you upload a screenshot for an AI mentor review, the image is sent over an encrypted connection to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate that single review, and the feedback is returned to you. We do not store your screenshot: it is not saved to our database or file storage. Your saved portfolio keeps only the Figma link you choose to add and your written reasoning, never the image itself. Under Anthropic’s API terms, uploaded images are not used to train their models and are retained only briefly for abuse monitoring before deletion. Free, principle-based feedback runs on your device and doesn’t send your image at all.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can:
Access & export your data — use Settings → Export my data to download it as a file.
Delete your account and data — via Settings → Delete my account, or by contacting us.
Object to or restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage for essential functionality (keeping you signed in and saving your progress) — this is always on and never used for tracking. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. Analytics is off by default and only runs after you accept our cookie banner; you can decline, or change your choice anytime. We never use advertising cookies.

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
